ABOUT THE BULLS . . .

The bulls are fed in a pasture (not a feedlot) at Five Star Farms, in Lingle, WY. and can be viewed there. The bulls are fed a growth ration, gaining about 2.5 lbs per day, and in an area where they exercise and maintain good feet and sound structure - a program that is designed to have them ready for BREEDING, not seeing how much we can get them to gain!!! This is a TRUE TWO YEAR OLD BULL PROGRAM. The bulls were culled in the fall of 2005 as if they were being sold as yearlings, and have also been culled two more times since last fall. The quality of these bulls should be outstanding. In addition, this is the complete 2005 crop. No bulls have been sold off the top end as yearlings, although two top bulls were kept for future use as Godley Angus sires. Although only two were retained, the decision process was tough, as there were several choices that would have fit our herd bull program. The philosophy of culling these bulls is simple: "Any bull in this sale should be good enough for our own commercial herds. If he is not a bull we would use ourselves, then we shouldn't expect our customers to use him . . ."
